As my hair grows longer, and it gets fuller, it becomes increasingly difficult to wrap my hair. So I was trying to think of an alternative method to the usual wrapping. I need something that will maintain the straightness and keep my ends from frizzing, but also be easy to do.
So, I was thinking and thats when I remembered a alternative method called cross-wrapping. When you regularly wrap you hair you're forcing your hair in one direction around your head, causing a lot of tension on your edges.
With cross-wrapping, instead, you're basically placing your hair on the other side of your head allowing for it to stay straight without all the tension.
I did the method today when I got home, because I wanted to take a nap and its still wrapped up, so I'm not to sure how its going to turn out. It was a bit tricky because of the shorter parts of my head kept falling, but I believe that it'll come out alright.

June Relaxer
My touch-up on Friday went along very well. After being so many weeks post-relaxer, it feels good to be able to feel my scalp again. I did exp one scalp burn in the back of my head, but that was to be expected since I had a hard time controlling the scratching in the last few days.
On my hair growth, it looks good, I'm not to sure about overall actual growth, but I know the rest of my head is catching up with the back.
After this [too] long stretch, I'm not going to allow myself to go past 10-11 weeks. This next relaxer will probably be at the 7 weeks since I'll be going back to school at that point. Well, here are some pictures.

Touch-Up on Friday
This week makes my 15th week since my last touch up, and boy do I need one. I didn't even realize that its been that long. My roots are extremely thick and lately they've been hard to handle. Its been more difficult to detangle and apply conditioner to my roots, but, hopefully all this struggling does mean that I'm getting some growth.
Also, I just got a new digital camera. I finally replaced my last one. Now I'll be able to post decent pictures of my hair.
I do an update with pictures on Friday or possibly Saturday.

Twist Out vs Braid Out
The past couple of months I had moved away from my signature twist out to doing braid outs. This switch was primarily motivated by the quickness of throwing 4 braids in my head as apposed to 8 twists that unravel continuously.
But there is a big difference between the two. First the look of course. Braid outs look crimped, while Twist Outs have a wavy texture. This difference definnately matter when it comes to the other differences.
Next, for me, Braid Outs don't seem to last as long as Twist Outs. When the the crimps begin to drop it just doesn't look right, so really my braid out will only look "good" for at most 2 days.
On the other hand, when I do a Twist Out when the waves drop they actually look just as good if not better.
So there are a number of differences between the two. It all depends on where your priorities lie. The easiness level of the style? The longevity of the style? Or the look of the style?
Its your decision.

Product Review - Silken Child Leave-In Detangler
I picked up this product a few weeks ago when I went to Sallys to restock my Silken Child Creme. I have been using it every wash since then. I do like this stuff. As soon as you spray it onto your hair you start to feel your hair gaining that much desired slip.
How I Use It: After soaking up all the excess water I spray the detangler onto my hair section by section, detangling each section with my shower comb as I go along.
Pros: The price is very reasonable, and the product does its job.
Cons: I still feel like it could be "better."
